Of note, a Register meeting at Fairview Park could be a reality one day says the Baldrick, however the Queen must be consulted and suitably persuaded and plied with generous gifts to succumb.

Welcome to both, it will be sensational to see both vehicles out with us in the foreseeable future. The continuing debate on the record number of Register cars at a meeting continues, surpassing the disappearance of Lord Lucan which is nothing really compared to this compelling mystery of when, where and how many cars were supposably present at some MG CC Register going back 50 years.

Maurice Mozza Lineham is to be congratulated on the new plush looking trim inside the TC. This includes the steering wheel which now alleviates the necessity for him to wear gloves on the highly absorbent material which soaks up the sweat from clammy palms driving at breakneck speed through Eden Hills with the hood up.

Our good mate Paul Dallwitz has offered a meeting for us at Hyde Park on a Friday night due to limited street parking on a Thursday.

Looking forward to that, watch this space and the website. Some cars will go interstate and to the UK.

Congratulations once again to Peter Auld, the cup being his to hold for the remainder of the year. We are to meet at the Crafers Hotel , off the Freeway at Crafers, 6.

We owe it to Brian to attend in whatever you feel comfortable, preferably MG, as he has put in over the years, regularly attending meetings here in the TC from Murray Bridge in all types of weather.

The content of free magazines has changed somewhat if you had not noticed. David Mc Nabb has ground to a halt in the TD after ,ks apparently.

Russell of the Girth, showed disrespect to the imperial leader from his elevated position. The serial pest failed to appear this meeting or indeed lodge an apology.

Bob Schapel forgot who he was apologising for this meeting. Terry Wright has been practising portrait photography for a front page cover shot.

Attendance at the Register meetings has been outstanding of late, hopefully all are enjoying the fun and spirit of the MG fraternity that has developed amazingly in SA over the years, keep it up there are new members filtering in with interesting cars, make them welcome and help out when you can.

A final wise old saying: Frustration is trying to find your glasses , without your glasses! To view other photos of the night - click here.

Cheers and Safety Fast. Enough of the perfect stuff, but it is testimony to the skill and expertise that Peter has displayed over his many years in the MG Car Club early sixties finishing his cars to concourse winning standards.

Would you believe, another near record of register vehicles present, just look at the photos on the website, a total of 19 vehicles: Ken Fisher has finally been able to get Brenton Illingworth along to the register, he has a TF in bits and his wife Gaye is hoping that we will enthuse him enough to get it moving and the various body parts relocated out of the living areas at home, who knows it could be a good thing for his marriage.

You may see Brenton in the photos displayed on the website and in the magazine wearing a tie which was noticed from a distance by the ever vigilant Terry Wright who can sniff out a Hong Kong Cricket Club tie over the length of 4 cricket pitches.

Terry obviously has one himself and was a distinguished member of that club and a fine cricketer to boot, not to mention a prominent social butterfly as well, great spotting Terry, nice tie Brenton.

Laurie Foody has some Aussie Jet Ink cartridges to give away, thanks they are expensive. Brian Forth has a new business importing Veteran and Vintage Tyres, specialising in beaded edge tyres, wheels, rims and spokes for Veteran and Vintage Motorcycle.

Speak to him if you are looking for say 19inch tyres for TC etc, he will ensure that you receive a very compeditive price. Phone or Mozza Lineham is looking for a car trailer to take the TC to Robe for the weekender.

Anthony had something to say but it was too noisy to hear after Doc Colin Whyatt offered cut rate digital examinations to any bloke over 70 which there a quite a few, nobody was game to accept.

TD Mc Nabb gave a brief report , 6 register vehicles attended in the parade. Presented to the club by R D Irving Esq, to encourage the use and preservation of register vehicles and to be presented annually.

I cannot divulge any details of the chief scrutineer, however Houghie said that he will return the attendance book at the next meeting now that the result is known.

I am pleased to announce that the clear winner this year is Peter Auld, congratulations Peter, it is a well deserved win as has been the others previously.

Thurs 3 March indoors. We owe it to Brian to go to his register night as he has always been a regular attendee to meetings up here in Adelaide.

To view the many photos of the evening - click here. This set the scene for an exciting night of chatter and fellowship, punctuated by bad jokes at others expense.

Incredibly the numbers align with the T Series Association reference book that I have, first time ever! The Register wishes to express sincere condolences to the families of those associated with the MG Car Club who have lost loved ones very recently.

Russell Garth says he tracked down the former owner of his TF well over 30 years ago, not sure that he is getting the information that he wanted, try the folding stuff Russell.

Australian T Series Association. Mike Greenwood is the state of SA representative and spoke to the meeting about membership and displayed their attractive magazine.

There are associations with other groups around the world, coordinator is Peter Kerr 07 , kerrpc yahoo. Arthur has bragging rights for the two laps around Mt Panorama in his historic, well done, not many of us will achieve that.

The numbers caught Arthur by surprise, but there was plenty of action in the kitchen by Geraldine and the others from MKR it seems.

Good old Arthur, not to be seen to be short, pulled the dusty MG ports out of the cupboard coupled with the 2 cm squares of lamington cake that saw everyone off reasonably satisfied.

Faces in the crowd: Brian Golding has offered a night at his home in Murray Bridge, this is likely to be in May at this stage. In - The Garden with the classic delights, where old T desires are turned into reality.

To view photos of the night - click here. A long standing record almost broken, how unfortunate that the hosting TC was not in the garage Mozza?

King Arthur was the first to arrive in the ND just to ensure a prominent possy as he should. Chris Kinney, at last the TC appears from Fergusson Ave to roll into the garden, looks good as ever Chris, and still sounds good too.

Steph, thankyou for the great photos for the website. Vale - Robert Bob Morphett: The Register Quiz, celebrating the TC What event was significant to all of them in ?

Are they Baby Boomers or not? Do any of them own a car older than they are? How many have a T Type in their garage? Which one did not host a register meeting in ?

Many thanks to all who hosted a Register Meeting in , please consider one in if you have not had one before or would like to do it again.

Best wishes for the new year and safe driving in John Bray, Register Coordinator. Leigh Ritcher came down from Aldgate to enjoy the run back with the group.

Stunning but out of place in the Rubbernose B! An important hotspot, so here they are: Many signed the book, but not all however 31 signatures was somewhat reassuring, 10 register vehicles made it to the carpark.

No body complained about the food, great! Apart from spouses and girlfriends which was good to see, Maurice brought his old mate Col.

Colin Chapman MGB both sporting English leather flying jackets, completely wasted with the hood up, but it was lovely to see the members spoiling their partners who now completely understand the importance of Register business away from home.

Not much was transacted at all really, even if there was it was too noisy and I was too busy to write it down, those at the back which included Chris and Annette Kinny, Robin Gibbs, Loader and Sparks needed it repeated afterwards.

Arthur has offered the January meeting at West Lakes again next year which is particularly generous of him.

I will be scouting for others to host next year, John Davies has something lined up for the Register which should be of interest. Brian Sparks has offered a night again as a backup, thanks Sparksy.

The weather forecast inside your TC is at least as bad as that for the outside world and your insurance company refuses to insure you against pneumonia.

John Bray, Register Coordinator and gatherer of facts and apologies. Twas on the good ship venus Ho ho you should have seen us The register night was a sheer delight The neighbours got a hellava fright.

Bridgewater Inn 5th November 7. I wondered why the baseball kept getting bigger. Then it hit me. A hole has been found in a nudist camp wall.

The police are looking into it. Andrew on preparing the garage and presenting a great night in cool conditions for 35 members and 7 register vehickles.

Special thanks to Verona for a great spread of food. The Ivy Fuel Consumption Test: I was a participant once that I can remember, others partook in this event on numerous occasions which included lift cramming and unbelievable pranks.

New roller doors are a treat though Andrew. Thanks for putting the Special on show it was a star attraction. Allan is looking for an MGB he says, maybe came to the wrong meeting.

It seems to be a popular thing to sport a hat at register meetings, I believe the it has been started by Trevor Driver whose current regalia looks like a Nepalese Sherper.

John and Peter were popular attendees at previous meetings and it was most evident that John enjoyed being with his son at our meetings arriving in the TD.

Our condolences go out to Peter and family suffice it to say that we will miss John and his informative and interesting conversations.

Welcome back Morrie Lineham from your adventures across the Nullabor celebrating your entry into an eighth decade of your life. Please note that despite the cool evening, at least two of us had our hoods retracted, seems that you and Thane are softening!

Check the website for a brace of photographs kindly taken by TD Mc Nabb. You will find these informative and in some cases downright embarrassing.

Try not to miss the flying circus, Ivey and Offler in their Luftwaffe flying helmets! Click here to view photos.

Thanks especially to Peter on the BBQ, excellent results! Ken had things beautifully organised to ensure a splendid result, just as well I rang him the day before he says, otherwise we would have met at OTR up the road.

New members and guests: Lineham will note this act of cowardice. The voice from America, guest speaker. Given generous time to articulate his travel tales, he performed exceptionally well and received appropriate applause at the end, hopefully he will rest up for a few years before going again.

Anthony did offer to fill his container leaving the UK with the Harry Lester books if you want one approx. Thane Martin rugged up in his thick navy blue beanie, pity the hood was up on the car though, another wasted effort.

Catering, good news bad news: This was ensured by a lunch meeting with Terry and myself with two bottles of red, hopefully he can remember what we discussed.

The committee of the All British Day need help from car clubs for the event, otherwise they may abandon it if not supported, more news will come from our club.

Click here to view. Good to see that Robin Gibbs got Stan Shepard to the meeting, thanks Robin we all appreciate you getting him along as it means a lot to Stan.

I have seen them and they are quite remarkable. A woman does not turn up for work on Monday, Tuesday her boss asks why?

She responds that her husband overdosed on Viagra and she could not leave him with the maid all day! Thanks for your great support, see you at Willows in September.

Maurice Lineham is a special apology as he is celebrating turning 70 with a road trip across the Nullabor he just wanted you to know that.

Sadly passed away June 15 , aged 68 years. Our condolences go out to Judy and his family. Peter was a great clubman over many years, some of us remembered the last time a register meeting was held at his home in the hills approximately 12 years ago.

I know only of his TF which he treasured dearly however he owned many other fine cars such as the E Type Jag I am told.

I know little of his racing history with the MG CC, but I do remember his enthusiasm for cars and club history in conversation with him at club events.

Sir Thane of the Coromandel drove the TC with the hood down in true MG tradition on a cold night Lineham please note Lineham has received valuable support from Sir Thane and Sir Collecta recently, apparently you do not go to Banner Mitre 10 to get parts for a steering column bracket , how embarrassing, but a full glass of red supplied by his helpers solved most of his woes.

Other matters of interest include Brian Lees posting of his restoration of the TC on his home page http: All good stuff for the projects list that Geoff Glasson is thinking about, would be a good start.

Peter Auld deserves a mention for attending while under the influence, jet lag of course! Doc Whyatt can be seen in photographs with his head deep in the engine doing a diagnosis, seems that professional habits do not die Doc.

Sir Trevor of Glenalta turns 70 soon, could be a celebration at the August meeting you could say. It is entirely indoors and plenty of room to display the cars undercover.

It is the Editor of the Advertiser who decides when and not to publish motoring calendars on a Thursday says John Davies, really disappointing not only for the MGCC but for all motoring enthusiasts in this State of SA.

TD McNabb will be a fountain of knowledge and information when he gets back. Great to see Paul Oliver, longtime club member and register raffle sponsor, proprietor Auto Barn Mile End, at the meeting, was good to see you Paul.

A constipated elephant travelling up the SE Freeway has shed its load. Drivers are advised to treat it as a mini-roundabout! Keep your chin up and the hood down T Typers.

John Bray - Register Coordinator. To view the many other photos of the night - click here. View photos of the night from David McNabb - click here.

Michael Lyons gave us an informative note on the recent health of Graham Loader who at the time of the meeting was convalescing in Ashford Hospital after a recent heart scare, just before going away on a holiday trip with Pat, we all wish him the best for a full recovery.

Member attendance was 29 and a total of 7 register vehicles were present on the night, some of us preferred the heated seats of our wives cars for the cold trip up to Hawthorndene.

Bobby Schapel and friends fresh back from Historic racing at Winton was very pleased with himself scoring a well deserved first and fastest in one race, surprised, well he did not think that he won it.

On Winton, the pyjama boys forgot to get their act together and were a mismatch for this trip. Talking about caps, Trevor Driver has dispensed with the Scottish tarten Royal Stewart which I am told that he is entitled to wear, dubious heritage but he now has a leather MG motif peak cap purchased from a Greek in the islands somewhere near Athens he says, got it for a good price, no need to be embarrassed Trev your mate had to make sure that it was newsworthy.

Geoff Glasson has offered to start the project list on who is working on what MG for the register, Gordon Brice emailed in to say that it was a good idea, he is busy with a TD , good on you Geoff.

Ian Hobbs produce a tin plate model of an MG, purchased at the Historic Race meeting at Phillip Island, originally thought to be a TC, but with a keen eye and his passion for the K3, Ian was able to determine that indeed it was a fake!

His demonstration spinning the reflector on the lathe was informative, thanks Anthony. It will be just great to have such a rare vehicle in our club and to see it out on the road.

Keep your eye on the website and paper for meetings after that. Arthur Ruediger was first to arrive at the bottom of the driveway in the red T complete with 19 inch wheels this year, firstly to get prime parking position and a front on assault back up the driveway.

Members attendance was 29, 7 T Register cars were present, some like Maurice Lineham thought that there was ice on the driveway so the T was left at home, others like Brian Golding ,Thane Martin, Graham Loader, Brett Cole managed it well right to the bottom.

Alighting from the TD he saw oil on his jeans , then discovers an oil soaked rag stuffed under the dash in the wiring loom, why and what he says?

Yes, a leaking oil pressure gauge connection! Points will now be awarded on a simpler and easier basis. In the event of a tie, all winners will be recognised.

Next Register meeting, Thursday 4 June. Breaking news, Anthony Pearson arrived with his parents in tow in what could only be described as a lumbering mud crab.

The Austin was found inside a shed of a deceased estate in Belair, true to form Anthony negotiates a ridiculously low price, bettered only by his pulling an expresso coffee machine out of a roadside hard rubbish collection.

It has been reported that some unfortunate incident occurred between prominent members leaving the Register meeting in the narrow street after the meeting.

Reversing cameras not working I am told. Well, in conclusion, it seemed quite subdued in my shed on the night, the usual serial pests were quiet and well disciplined which is most pleasing.

Geoff Glasson TD suggested that we have a list of members who are working on or have car projects running, this seems like a good idea, for example hearing about Kevin Mills YT progress and the Paul Dallwitz special project is always good, now Lachy Kinnear is in the fold with his TC special.

Keep an eye on the club website for meeting venues and news, John Davies is on top of the Thursday Advertiser announcements in the motoring section, but changes do occur due to unforseen circumstances.

Thanks for your support to the Register and attendance again to make it a good night indeed. John Bray, T Register coordinator.

Good to see and hear plenty of deep conversation round and about cars on display, banter and heckling from certain quarters during the business section of the meeting has been noted and will no doubt attract appropriate penalties in the future.

Russ the risk taker has been named. The Lew Schapel trophy for competition in a road registered register vehicle has been won this year by Wayne Hough, presented by his mate and star pupil, Arthur Ruediger, well done Houghie!

New member Brett Cole arrived with his inheritance, lovely red TD ,mostly original and in beautiful condition, just needs to sort out a few numbers with it, welcome Brett.

TD Mc Nabb gave an update for Landline on the condition of NZ sheep in the land of the long white fog, another trip is forecast in a few years for the TD faithful it seems over there, he did have a great time, passionate about MG, likes the place too.

Maurice a Tiger Moth might be more suitable. The Y is it so team. Aptly represented by our host Graham, Paul Dallwitz, and rarely seen Roland Harris in the former Barry Bahnish YA, cars were on display, Roland getting a recharge into the battery as well.

Any feedback to the contrary will be appreciated especially in relation to his performance. I therefore cannot take responsibility for any inaccuracies in this report to members.

Approximately 32 members attended, 14 Register vehicles found their way to Coromandel Valley on a most pleasant driving night that saw Maurice Lineham arrive in the TC with the hood down at last!

Inspector Buckley is in China taking photos of highly polluting steam trains in case you missed him. Wes Southgate caught up with us at Phillip Is.

On behalf of members, thankyou Thane to you and partner for a great night. Apologies to Nick Proferes as I am told I got his name wrong in previous reports.

Andrew Willington is having a significant birthday this month, 70 and will take an elaborate cruise on the Queen Mary to celebrate, returning to Adelaide on 29 March, so we will miss out on welcome home festivities at Outer Harbour.

You might take time to ask him when you see him for details of the passenger inventory and suggest that he celebrate appropriately with us at the next meeting.

His good friend and member of our club, Terry Wright is denying all knowledge of the intimate details of the cruise, so it is on my head that I report appropriately.

Georgie drove really well in the regularity and certainly showed that she can mix it with some of the flair shown by her late dad Bill. Ian Hobbs was at the Island doing his Elfin thing, he must have photos by now of the Elfin marque, however Terry Wright has got the bug and enthusiastically shoots with the auto lens on every conceivable vantage point hoping to catch up on Ian Hobbs by the next race meet.

Brian Golding has the TC going again and drove up from Murray Bridge which is a fantastic effort at night Goldie, legend status mate!

His last Register night in September last year was sensational, so please come to the April meeting. The host, a mighty man is he Maurice Lineham beckons with his hands.

He welcomes all to park their cars On grass made ready for the MG clans. Thane Martin, Coromandel Valley 9 April.

Graham Loader, Flinders Park 7 May. John Bray, Blackwood 4 June. Arthur Ruediger, West lakes 6 August. TBA, host wanted 3 September. Andrew Willington, Coromandel Valley 1 October.

Ian Buckley, North Plympton 5 November. Bridgewater Inn, Bridgewater 3 December. Inspector Buckles was first to arrive and took centre stage on the driveway.

Yes indeed, another great night catered handsomely by our hosts Russell and Margie Garth thoroughly enjoyed by all judging by the conversation and lineup for the sumptuous spread.

Ian Hobbs proudly displayed his K3 book, given as a present by family. It is a marvellous presentation of the K3 history and is beautifully documented with amazing photographs.

Editor of our magazine, Laurie Houghton was acknowledged, great to see him along. Given a ride up with his little mate, Artfur Rummerger in the TC.

Buckles informed the meeting that Paul Dallwitz is recovering in a Florida Hospital after taking a fall while on holidays in the US , however he is ok and expected to come home soon.

The results of the Irving Cup will be announced at the February meeting, I need the cup back to hand over to the successfull recipient on the night.

The Richtenstein Castle was ablaze with Christmas lights and good cheer when we arrived for another sparkling Register Meeting.

Ten T Register vehicles were driven by their owners and others, to the meeting, 38 brave souls signed the book, hooray! Terry Wright is the quick talking king, got out of a speeding fine doing 69 in a 60 zone on Upper Sturt Rd, something to be said about a 69 maybe, amused the officer somewhat.

Andrew Willington is getting ready for a Register night next year. His shed has been cleared out by persons unknown wearing cotton gloves and balaclavas, however the insurance company has yet to cough up for all the stolen items and must be told soon, first Thursday!

Mind you he had a very nice bottle of wine from a customer that he shared around. They have been an institution in Adelaide and served the MG community exceptionally well with vast knowledge and ingenuity assisting and servicing the needs of many.

It was announced that Arthur Ruediger has purchase one of the worlds rarest cars out of Melbourne, one of only 24 ever made, a ND MG.

How great is this to have such a rare car coming over to SA in pristine condition. His advisor and knowledgeable guru Bob Bazzica convinced him to purchase it following a big night at Crown Casino I am told.

Arthur, we cannot wait to take turns driving it around Mallala! Ian Buckley allowed me to drive the TC to the meeting with my navigator Dean Hosking gripping the panic handle.

Colin raced a TC and had other cars. A thankyou to Paul Oliver, Autobarn Mile End for donating some interesting items for our raffle, hope you enjoyed the array, I may surprise you soon with take home prizes for wives, girlfriends, mistresses and secretaries.

A huge thankyou to Chris and Leigh for providing a magnificent spread of food for members and friends on Thursday night last, really appreciated by all and a great deal of fun.

November 6, Bridgewater Inn, Bridgewater An excellent showing of members, friends and spouses descended upon the Bridgewater Inn right on the appointed time for dinner and fellowship, 23 signed the register book, the other 17 just could not find it.

Ten 10 register vehicles attended, most of them assembled at the BP at Belair at 6. The Old Blue TF. In the years that I have known him, Russ has only had the hood and windscreen up once, a true and gallant member of the faithfull you would say.

We learnt that Alison West passed away on the night of the meeting, wife of club legend Mal West deceased which is sad indeed as the two of them were loyal members of the MGCC for many years.

Mal was certainly a character for those who remember. Bob Schapel opened the batting quite spontaneously announcing himself without introduction register night potential to say that he has an oxy-acetalyne bottle cart for sale small possible use, zimmer frame.

Lachy Kinnear freshly back from the UK engrossed most of us with stories of his experiences over there riding in racing TC, kw at the flywheel, and a trip in the J Type of John James of TT fame, through English villages dining out on pub grub.

The insanely knowledgeable AC Pearson. Totally ruined it for me, but at least he came home from the Panama Canal Cruise with the desperates and dateless to get to the Rolling Stones concert.

The Serial Pest was at it again, the next time he puts his finger in my glass, he might find it full of battery acid, however it was to our great displeasure that he took out first prize in the raffle.

It was a great venue, the food was excellent to most it seems, plenty of noise and great conversation. Alan Semmler was congratulated and thanked for his amazing effort organising and coordinating the Kimber Run which was a truly exceptional event this year.

Paul Dalwitz will not be at the next couple of meetings next year, he is going overseas, one would hope that he could take Neilson with him?

TD Mc Nabb has posted some good shots of the cars and assembled members on the website. Cheers and Safety Fast as you go.

Apologies that I can remember: A moment of reflection was taken for Bill Schapel who will be sadly missed from our ranks.

Sadly Graham Loader lost his mother the previous week, which is sad indeed after a wonderful life. Forward planning is ramping up for a bumper season, the queue is forming fast, those who are aiming at a night for the Register include: It is really exciting to have the interest and enthusiasm by those above who will clear their sheds ready for the Register members to sniff out and poke around stuff.

News in brief in one word: December at Leigh Ritcher: Cheers and Safety Fast as usual. John Bray , Register Secretary. Graham Loader went to a great deal of trouble setting up his garage for the specific display of the T Type sedans and tourers for all to see, thankyou Graham it was a delight to be there amongst the cars.

Twelve register vehicles were present, 29 signed the book, however more were present who forgot to sign and some kindly donated raffle prizes back by leaving them there, a common occurrence it seems.

We said our goodbyes to our great friend Wes Southgate 34 MG PA as it was his last meeting before leaving to live in Melbourne, it is very sad to see him go and we will miss his appearances in the P Type.

Paul Dallwitz proudly displayed his black YA sedan out front of the others inside. Venues for the rest of are pretty well covered, refer to the September magazine and website, however is yet to be established and members were advised that there may be a new formula for the selection of hosts next year based on their behaviour and comments made at the meetings, also deeds of significance.

Potential candidates for are: David Mc Nabb - because he says its about time he did. Ian Buckley — because he promised to build his carport for us garage is great must see 3.

Russell Garth — because he came to the meeting with the hood up on the TF unheard of 4. Brian Sparks — for winning first prize in the raffle valuable TC framed artwork 6.

John Davies — for jumping ahead of the agenda out of turn journalistic style it seems 7. Paul Dallwitz - because I missed the last one and we want to see the progress on the special.

John Davies did report and alerted members to coming events well publicised on the website, SA Hillclimb championships, Kimber Run, Bay to Birdwood event for pre cars, Bathurst day at the clubrooms, and apologised for jumping ahead of the well defined agenda.

All is forgiven John. Alan Semmler advised that only 67 registrants for the Kimber Run have been received and refused any favours for special numbers eg , however it was a great surprise to hear that Ian Hobbs has secured number due to being a clever operator and diligent with the internet, congratulations Hobbsy.

Please support Alan and get your entries in asap. There will be some good photos on the website of the cars and register attendees.

I am pleased to report that the night was a huge success judging by the amount of energetic conversation and smiling faces on the 33 plus attendees.

Our sincere thanks to Thane Martin and his lovely partner for supplying supper in exciting surroundings that included an immaculate garage surrounded by interesting motoring memorabilia that included garage and petrol station signs, cans and a magnificently restored hand action, Golden Fleece petrol pump.

Arthur was most disappointed to lose out in the auction for the TC painting, out bid by Brian Golding Wes and Jill Southgate will be leaving us soon to be with their family in Melbourne, it will be sad to see them go and we will miss them and the P Type being driven to our meetings, our very best Wes and Jill.

Our sincere condolences to Robin Gibbs who lost his mother recently. Ian Curwen-Walker, recovering from a fall at Collingrove with a damaged hand, was enthusiastic about the hype and talk around the meeting, seems that the Register is a crowd puller still.

Arthur appealed for members to consider the Bay to Birdwood this year as entries are slow at the moment. Venues for future meetings are: The venue, as we all know is great for accommodating the register vehicles and members although you may have to compete for a park at the rear.

Apologies were received and we especially feel for Bill Schapel in Calvary Hospital who has had to decline visitors due to the state of his health.

We appreciate the efforts of Arthur Ruediger and Wayne Hough for opening up and attending the Bar throughout the night. Peter Cundy arrived with his father John in a black London Cab which by all reports runs really well, not sure what the plates would cost if he wants to put it to commercial use.

I am told that the Duke of Edinburgh uses one exclusively after ceremonial duties with the Queen, apparently he cannot bend his legs and his ceremonial sword needs plenty of legroom in the back seat.

Good to see Peter Auld back from travels, Buckley must be home from China soon you would expect. John Neilson made it two meetings in a row from Lyndoch, the serial pest is as irrepressible as ever!

Not much general business this week, AC Pearson. Thanks Wes Southgate for dropping off back issues of the Pre-War MG register magazines for the club library rather than throw them out, I am sure they will be read with interest.

The wise old man of MG gives his considered advice to Maurice, no need to rebuild just yet though. We have a contingency plan, maybe the clubrooms again, but if there is a willing member available to host on those dates, please get in contact.

Safety Fast you guys, see you at the August meet. John Bray, Register Secretary. Held at Supaloc Racing on 5th June, Elizabeth West and hosted by Allan Semmler the meeting was a memorable event and our thanks go to Allan and his staff for arranging the night and providing excellent food inside the racing stable workshop.

Special thanks to Allan for his enthusiasm in arranging the visit for the MG Car Club register members and friends who totalled 38 plus 4 visitors signed off in the book.

The array of racing machines that Supaloc run are most impressive and the technology on show was mind blowing to all especially the competition members of the car club.

Noise and technology really go together with high powered racing machines, not to mention enthusiastic petrol heads gliding around the room admiring fine welding on the massive exhaust systems and body frames.

Leo has the ability to create and manipulate fire, a skill that no son of Hephaestus has had in years. He also has a severe ADHD even in demigod standards.

Leo is also an excellent mechanic. He has a tendency to think of himself as a "seventh wheel", though he proves no less important or skilled than the others.

Following his resurrection, Leo goes on a journey with Calypso. As Leo is included in the prophecy of the Grove of Dodona, he accepts the task to accompany Apollo on his trials in The Trials of Apollo , together with Calypso.

When the prophecy of Trophonius requires that someone must warn the Camp Jupiter from an invasion, Leo volunteers for the task alone.

She is fifteen in The Lost Hero. Unlike most children of Aphrodite, Piper is not particularly concerned with beauty or fashion.

She is slim build and of average height. Her demigod "powers" include "charmspeak" essentially, magical persuasion and the ability to speak French.

She is also occasionally able to see visions in her magic dagger Katoptris meaning looking glass in Ancient Greek , which once belonged to Helen of Troy.

Though, the dagger seems to have lost the power to show visions after the battle in Athens against the giants. When she was young, Piper used her persuasive skills to "borrow" ask for in charmspeak things such as a car, lawn mower, etc.

Though she later learns it was all a trick of the Mist, she was once his girlfriend while they attended the same school. She works hard to recreate this relationship in real life when she comes to Camp Half-Blood.

She is also friends with all of the seven quest members in The Heroes of Olympus , especially Annabeth and Leo. After being captured by pirates in The House of Hades , Piper asks Hazel to teach her sword fighting, using a jagged celestial bronze sword taken from one of the Boreads.

In The Burning Maze , its revealed that she broke up with Jason a few months earlier for unknown reasons.

She was heartbroken when he died by sacrificing himself to save her, Apollo and Meg from Caligula. Jason has few memories of his mother, who was compelled to give him up when he was two, but he remembers enough about Thalia to not be surprised when he sees her again, in The Lost Hero.

Thalia reveals that their mother told her that Jason was dead, and that this was what finally drove her to leave home, after she run away from home and found "Camp Half-Blood".

He later discovers, in The Blood of Olympus , that Beryl Grace had become a mania, or spirit of madness. Jason is described as having blond hair, blue eyes, and a scar above his upper lip according to Thalia, this is the result of an attempt to eat a stapler when he was two.

He is of above-average height, with an athletic build and muscular arms. He has a tattoo burned under his forearm, with twelve straight lines like a bar code, an eagle, and the letters SPQR over the lines.

The tattoo symbolizes his twelve years of service in the Twelfth Legion Fulminata at Camp Jupiter; the eagle is a symbol of Jupiter. Of all the characters in the series, Jason is the one who struggles the most with the differences between the Greek and Roman perspectives.

Piper McLean describes Jason as very rule- and duty-oriented, though the Roman god Terminus describes him as a "rule-flouter. When the Argo II is stuck in North Africa, he realizes that he must choose one identity or the other.

He chooses to consider himself a Greek, despite his parentage, and is later unable to command a legion of ghosts sworn to obey only Roman officers.

Although Jason and Percy immediately recognize that it is best to work together, and become friends, their relationship is not without antagonism.

As Percy puts it, it is natural for two powerful demigods to wonder which of them is stronger after a fight. Jason is a sword fighter like Percy, though they have different fighting styles.

Jason uses an Imperial gold sword, styled as a Roman gladius a sword , which he can extend into a pilum a spear at will.

It is possible that this is a trait common to all Roman demigods, as Reyna is also shown as able to turn her sword into a pilum.

He can sense and control some air spirits and has, like Thalia, called down lightning, which he conducts through his Imperial Gold weapons, even underwater.

Like his sister, Jason can also emit static shocks, which seem to be tied to his emotions. He had a dream vision in one of the books, his life with Piper McLean.

In The "Burning Maze , it is revealed that Piper broke up with him for unknown reasons a few months earlier.

Jason later dies by sacrificing himself to save Apollo, Meg and Piper from Caligula. He suffered arrow wounds to his limbs and is stabbed in the back twice by Caligula.

Tempest, his ventus steed, later carries his body to safety. Hazel Levesque is a thirteen-year-old demigod, a daughter of Pluto and Marie Levesque.

It is later revealed that she has returned from the dead, assisted by her half-brother Nico. She grew up in the s in New Orleans , where her mother had a gris-gris shop.

When she was born, Pluto offered to grant her mother a wish, but her request for wealth backfired into an ability to control precious metals and gems , which both first view as a curse.

At some point before The Lost Hero , Nico finds Hazel in the Underworld while trying to visit Bianca di Angelo, only to find she has tried for rebirth.

He helps her escape to the world of the living and arranges for her to join Camp Jupiter. Hazel and Nico are protective of each other, much as true half-siblings.

Hazel is described as African American , having cocoa-colored skin, curly cinnamon-brown hair, and golden eyes.

Her legion tattoo is described as looking like a cross with curved arms and a head. She eventually learns to manipulate her curse, manipulating precious stones and metals and sensing structures underground.

She is an accomplished horse-rider and skilled with a spatha. She tames the horse Arion, who eats precious metals.

She is unusually knowledgeable about the Underworld because of her time there. Hazel becomes very gifted at this. Frank Zhang is a year-old demigod, son of Mars and Emily Zhang, a Chinese-Canadian "legacy" descendant of a demigod who dies during military service in Afghanistan.

While battling Alcyoneus who is invincible within Alaska , Frank taps into his ancestral power and transforms into an elephant.

However, his combined power of being a son of Mars and having the ability to shapeshift makes his life very fragile.

The Fates tied his life force to a piece of firewood when he was a baby, so if the wood burns up, he will die as in the ancient Greek legend of Meleager.

The goddess Juno appears to his mother and grandmother while he is a baby to warn them of this fact, as he would be crucial to defeating the Giants.

In all his life, Frank has ignited the wood twice, which he can do simply by thinking about it; the first time is while he is finding his way to Camp Jupiter, in bitter cold.

The second time is when he, Percy, and Hazel travel to Alaska to free Thanatos. Eventually, Frank entrusts the firewood to Hazel, and in The House of Hades , Calypso creates a fireproof pouch to contain it Leo delivers the pouch to Frank.

He suspected himself a son of Apollo , given his skill with a bow and arrow. On his quest in The Son of Neptune , and later during the series as well, he uses an enchanted spear given to him by Mars.

Frank calls this skeleton "Gray". As he has been residing in Camp Jupiter for no more than a year, Frank is initially considered a probatio , or rookie, of the Fifth Cohort.

He is then described as being taller, more muscular, and without all his childhood fat. Though now built like a professional football player, he is still as sensitive as before, and is embarrassed at his new appearance at first.

Initially, he was wary of the tension between Hazel and Leo, as Leo reminded Hazel of her old boyfriend, Sammy Valdez. He then pursues a relationship with Hazel.

She and her sister worked for Circe during the events of The Sea of Monsters. She is described as intimidating and a natural leader; she has glossy black hair and black eyes.

Reyna is generally more used to responsibility than other demigods, as she is a praetor at Camp Jupiter. Similar Leo Valdez, she can speak both English and Spanish.

When Reyna was ten years old, he became a mania , or an evil insane ghost. When the mania attacked Hylla, young Reyna picked up the closest weapon and killed what remained of her father.

Reyna is reluctant to discuss the incident because patricide is "unforgivable" in New Rome. Gleeson Hedge is a satyr first mentioned in The Last Olympian , as the author of a distress call sent to Grover Underwood.

He also serves as the adult chaperone for the Argo II and later accompanies the Athena Parthenos to camp.

Despite his often warlike and often overly aggressive attitude, Hedge is kind and understanding to campers in need. He enjoys extreme sports and martial arts movies.

Chuck, the baby, is born at the end of book five , with Clarisse as his godmother. Lester Papadopoulos is the mortal form of Apollo and the main protagonist of The Trials of Apollo series.

As a result, the Delphic Oracle ceases to function, effectively halting demigod quests, and Zeus punishes Apollo. This punishment is revealed in The Trials of Apollo.

In his mortal form, Apollos name is Lester Papadopoulos. Following a meeting with two thugs, Lester encounters a demigod called Meg McCaffrey who claims him as her servant until he regains his godhood.

There, Apollo has to adjust himself to a life of mortality and questing to regain his former powers and lifestyle.

Apollo is released by Meg after the revelation of her alliance with his enemy. Lester is a year-old teenager with curly brown hair, blue eyes, acne, and a flabby torso.

He is narcissistic, prideful, and arrogant, but does his best to not be a burden on others. His mortal transformation has made him realize how miserable humans are in facing the gods.

In particular, he grows to deeply care for Meg and resolves to be with her despite the difficulties involved. Her father was murdered by "the Beast" and she was subsequently adopted by Emperor Nero, considering them as two separate people.

Nero taught her the arts of a demigod and gave her a pair of crescent rings which can transform into sickles made of imperial gold, before giving her a task to lure Apollo into the Grove of Dodona.

There, Meg displays unusual abilities even before Demeter claims her, and later goes with Apollo to search for missing demigods and the Grove in the nearby woods, having to endure a brief abduction in the process.

While she helps Apollo bring the Grove alive, she severs their bonding spell and leaves. Meg is described as small and pudgy, with dark hair chopped in a messy pageboy style and black cat-eye glasses with rhinestones glittering and shimmering in the corners.

She is perky and adventurous, inquisitive , and is also confrontational. She poses questions with no subtlety, something that Apollo is annoyed with but later comes to regard as a unique trait.

Calypso is the daughter of the titan Atlas who is imprisoned on the island of Ogygia for supporting her father during the first titan war.

She falls in love with Percy and is heartbroken when he has to leave. Percy asks the gods to release her at the end of The Last Olympian , [13] but she is still residing there when Leo becomes trapped on Ogygia in The House of Hades.

She ends up falling in love with him. After Leo escapes, he swears on the River Styx that he will return for Calypso. Despite this, the two secretly attempt to find a normalcy for their lives and later announce to Apollo that they are going to settle in Indianapolis , although they will continue to help him anyway they can.

As a sorceress, Calypso can command wind spirits to do her bidding. She loses most of her control of them when she gives up her immortality; however, she is still capable of summoning them to a degree, though by consuming more power than usual.

Josephine later trains her to better her control. Also, due to spending a long time at Ogygia, she has mastered sewing and lock-picking, which she uses while finding the gryphons at the Indianapolis Zoo.

Triumvirate Holdings is a company that is led by three beings who are said to be the worst Roman Emperors in history.

They force other people to worship them. During the Second Titanomachy, Triumvirate Holdings was responsible for giving Luke at the time under the influence of Kronos and his allies with the Princess Andromeda, weapons, helicopters, and top human mercenaries.

Hemithea , known as "Emmie", is a retired Hunter of Artemis and caretaker of the Waystation. She lives with her partner, Josephine, also an ex-Hunter, and their daughter Georgia at the Waystation in Indianapolis.

She and her sister were granted immortality by Apollo after escaping from the wrath of their father, King Staphylus. She then joined the Hunters of Artemis and fell in love with fellow hunter Josephine.

Causing them to lose their immortality and to be kicked out of the Hunt. Sometime in the s, Josephine and Emmie gave up their immortality in order to grow old together.

Olympus , all Greek and Roman gods are generally considered to be a subset of the Twelve Olympians. As such, most characters in the series refer to these immortals generally as the "Olympian gods", to distinguish them from the Greco-Roman primordial gods and Titans.

The primordial deities are the deities that came before the Titans and the Olympians came into existence. In this game, when a Koopa is jumped on, it is actually knocked out of its shell, becoming a Beach Koopa.

Shortly after getting knocked out, it will become stunned and vulnerable for a short period of time. To reclaim its shell, a Koopa has to walk back to it before Mario grabs it.

In this game, Koopa Troopas traveled with Bowser to Dinosaur Land in an attempt to take it over, though this plan is thwarted by the Mario brothers.

Also, if Yoshi eats certain color shells, then he will gain abilities: Green shells do nothing, red shells allow Yoshi to spit fire, yellow shells allow Yoshi to cause a small earthquake every time the player lands after a jump, which defeats any enemies who are on the ground nearby, and blue shells allow Yoshi to fly for a short period of time.

The different color shells also point to the behavior of the Koopa Troopas. Blue-shelled Koopa Troopas act like red-shelled Koopa Troopas, but move faster.

Yellow-shelled Koopa Troopas are unique and tend to chase after Mario, but act like faster green-shelled Koopa Troopas in movement.

When yellow-shelled Koopa Troopas lose their shell, a coin pops out. Also, when a shell-less yellow-shelled Koopa finds a new shell, it will turn into a Kamikaze Koopa and chase Mario.

Magikoopas can create yellow-shelled Koopa Troopas out of Rotating Blocks. Super Mario Advance 2 , all Koopa Troopas except climbers become Mask Koopas , with their respective shells becoming round masks that vaguely resemble Mario.

Koopa Troopas once again walk on all fours during these games. It is unknown what color of Koopa Troopas appear in the Super Mario Land series, as both of the games are in black and white; however, the behavior of the Koopa Troopas in the second game is identical to the normal behavior of the red-shelled ones, but the official artwork depicts them as green-shelled.

A Koopa also appears at the entrance to the Turtle Zone. Only green-shelled Koopa Troopas appear in this game. Unlike almost all of their other appearances, the Koopa Troopas in this game do not act aggressively towards Mario ; in fact, they attempt to escape whenever they see him coming.

If jumped on or punched, the Koopa Troopas will be knocked out of their shells and transformed into Beach Koopas.

These Koopa Troopas are harmless and cannot hurt Mario, but they can push him back if touched. Attacking them in this state will defeat them, and they will yield a Blue Coin.

Once the Koopa Troopas are knocked out of their shells, Mario can ride on their shells in a manner similar to surfing.

Koopa shells can also be found in certain! Additionally, a tiny Koopa appears in the tiny area of Tiny-Huge Island, but it cannot damage Mario and will be defeated if Mario attacks or even touches it.

This marks the first time an individual Koopa Troopa is given a name and differentiates from the species, as well as the first appearance of a Koopa Troopa who seems neutral to the battle between Mario and the Koopa Troop.

When Mario speaks to Koopa the Quick, he gives a high-pitched whooping or hiccuping sound that goes on to be the iconic voice of all Koopa Troopas, especially in the Mario Kart series.

In this game, Koopa shells can also be found in some Brick Blocks. When they see the player, the red Koopa Troopas will run into them and knock them around, unlike the green ones.

Their shell cannot be ridden, but can be kicked to hit other enemies. Yoshi can spew fire after eating a red Koopa Troopa. Their role is exactly the same as in the other sidescrolling Mario platformers; a ground pound, however, can send them into their shells and cause them to begin sliding.

In New Super Mario Bros. Koopa Troopas reappear in Super Mario Galaxy where they are semi-common enemies found mostly on the airship levels.

Surprisingly, they are shown walking on all fours and do not wear shoes, unlike in most of the previous games. This makes it the first 3D platforming game to show them walking on all fours and also the eighth game since Super Mario Bros.

They always have angry expressions. As in most games, there is a red and green type. Defeating a Koopa by throwing its shell away or breaking it causes it to respawn in the same area it patrolled, making it the only enemy in the game to do so.

They do not flee from Mario unlike in Super Mario 64 and instead patrol a set area in a straight line or in a circle. As usual, jumping on a Koopa or spinning into it will cause the Koopa to retreat into its shell.

Like usual, waiting a bit will cause the Koopa to come out of its shell. Koopa shells both green and red also appear as common items which can be thrown to defeat enemies and smash open chests or held onto underwater in order to swim faster.

Wii , acting like they did in the first New Super Mario Bros. Koopa Troopas once again dance to the electronic vocal riffs in the background music by pausing and facing the screen, though they now do a bit of cha-cha.

In this game, they appear in both green and red colored shell variations. The green Koopa Troopas will walk in a straight line until they reach a wall, but red Koopa Troopas turn around when they reach a drop in the ground.

Koopa Troopas can be defeated by Spin Jumps and Ground Pounds , and therefore are much simpler to defeat than in earlier games. Koopa Troopas reappear in Super Mario Galaxy 2 , and they act the same way as their predecessor.

Red Koopa Troopas do not appear in the game. Unlike the Super Mario Galaxy games, the Koopa Troopas have their current appearance back, walking on two legs in-game and wearing shoes, though only green Koopa Troopas appear, which is consistent with Super Mario Galaxy 2.

They also seem to be a bit larger in this game, which, like the Goombas, make them easier to jump on. In the game, they appear to have more lighter blue eyes, while they have more of a dark navy blue pigment in their eyes.

Koopa Troopas are rare to encounter in the game, with only twelve appearing in the whole game, and are found in four levels , , and S The behave similarly to their versions from previous games, where Mario stomps them and they can retreat into their shells so Mario can kick them to attack enemies.

However, in this game, no matter how Mario attacks them, Koopa Troopas only retreat inside their shells when hit, though hitting them with another shell does destroy them.

Mario is unable to pick up their shells in this game. While retreated into their shells, Tanooki Mario can whip them with his tail or Fire Mario can shoot them with fireballs simultaneously five times to make the shell break open and reveal a 1-Up Mushroom.

Also, after the player has defeated Bowser for the last time, the Toads find a postcard that that has a picture of Luigi captured by a Koopa Troopa and a Peepa.

They behave as in previous New Super Mario Bros. Paratroopas and Big Koopa Troopas also appear. Here, they act differently from their appearance in Super Mario 3D Land by usually chasing Mario, like Goombas , rather than always walking back and forth in a straight line.

They can also be removed from their shells like in Super Mario World. Koopa Troopas will try to get back into their shell if it is taken, and if they realize their shell has been lost, they express sadness for a moment and return to chasing Mario.

Players also have the ability to climb inside abandoned shells , which will cause them to change color. This speedy form of transportation can be used to defeat other nearby enemies.

There also appears to be a time limit for how long Mario and company can remain in these shells before they become dizzy and must exit them.

They function exactly like they did in previous games, except in the New Super Mario Bros. In the Course Editor, they are enemies that can be placed.

They start out as the green variants, but when they are shaken, they turn into the red variant. Like many enemies, they can be enlarged by a Super Mushroom and be given wings, and in the case of the latter they turn into Paratroopas.

When they are enlarged, their shells can break through blocks without bouncing. Koopa Shells are able to bounce on Trampolines and Note Blocks in this game.

They retreat in their shells when Mario vaults over them, while stomping on them instantly sends the shell sliding, as they were already kicked or thrown.

In Super Mario Odyssey , Koopa Troopas appear as non-playable characters rather than enemies, serving as hosts for minigames. In the Sand Kingdom , Snow Kingdom , and Moon Kingdom , a Koopa Troopa a red Koopa Troopa wearing a sombrero; a blue one wearing a snow hood; a purple one wearing an astronaut helmet, respectively hosts the Trace-Walking minigame that involves Mario walking on a circle of arrows a triangle for the Snow Kingdom version that disappear after some time.

After breaking the Moon Rocks in the respective kingdoms during the post-game, Mario can take on each trace-walking challenge again for more Power Moons should he score 90 points or more.

After completing the game, Mario can find a green Koopa Troopa in a cap that hosts the Koopa Freerunning mini-game, where Mario races a quartet of Koopa Troopas known as the Roving Racers , with the goal to reach a shining beacon at the end.

Placing first rewards Mario with a Power Moon. Mario can race against the Roving Racers in every kingdom excluding the Cloud Kingdom , Ruined Kingdom , Dark Side and Darker Side , and the environment of each kingdom is in the same state as when Mario first visits it rainy in the Metro Kingdom, for example.

In the Master Cup, a gold Koopa Troopa replaces the purple-shelled racer and often uses shortcuts to reach the goal.

In some kingdoms, Koopa Troopas appear as enemies in 8-bit segments. This makes them the only 8-bit enemies that do not have 3D counterparts in this game.

In Mario Clash , Koopa Troopas have a very important role. In this game, the only way to defeat enemies such as Thornies is to hit them with a Koopa shell.

There are always two Koopa Troopas; if one Koopa falls of a cliff another will appear. They once again walk on four legs, and sometimes make a fanged "menacing" face that is identical to the one used by the related Shellcreepers in Mario Bros.

All of the Koopa Troopas are green, and are generally portrayed as being slightly slow and incompetent, although they are usually successful in carrying out simple jobs.

The Koopa Troopas on the show are depicted as bipeds, something that had yet to be seen in any game until Super Mario World.

Also, as a joke, Koopa Troopas are usually seen wearing turtleneck sweaters. However, in all of their later appearances, their voices, while still somewhat slow, are notably lighter.

There is never any indication of how this particular Koopa Troopa earned his rank in the Koopa Pack, as there is nothing to differentiate him from any other generic Koopa Troopa.

He often battles Luigi and is then beaten by him. Despite the prominence of Koopa Troopas throughout the show, Paratroopas only make one brief appearance in the episode "King Mario of Cramalot", and essentially look like red Koopa Troopas with bee-like wings.

Near the beginning of the episode, Kootie Pie jumps on the Koopa Troopa repeatedly, knocking him out of his shell.

When Kootie Pie throws the Koopa Troopa back into his shell, he winds up wearing the shell backwards, and is stuck like that for a good while.

Despite the abuse he took, the Koopa Troopa has the last laugh towards Kootie Pie at the end, when she is frozen in a block of ice. Koopa Troopas appear throughout the Nintendo Adventure Books , which gives them a weapon not seen anywhere else; a retractable cannon in their shells that allows them to bombard their enemies with a seemingly limitless barrage of empty Koopa Shells.

The only noteworthy role Koopa Troopas have in the series is in the twelfth and final book, Brain Drain. They are among the many enemies that come through Warp Pipes and attack the Mario Bros.

After the supposed rescue of Princess Peach from Wendy O. In this game, Bowser sends Koopa Troopas to different cities throughout Earth , where they wreak havoc by stealing precious artifacts from various museums and national monuments.

When jumped on, the Koopa Troopas without artifacts disappear, while the ones carrying artifacts disintegrate into dust.

This disintegration was a style commonly used in cartoons, where the body of a creature turns to dust until only its eyes remain. The eyes blink once, and then disappear.

They act just like the Koopa Troopas in Mario is Missing. Here, they act as they do in the main series, and are accompanied by Bodyslam Koopas , heavyweight Koopa Troopa variants.

On the Moon , Koopa Troopas wear space helmets, which cover the tops of their shells whenever they retract into them. A Koopa Troopa first appears as a playable character in Super Mario Kart , where he is a lightweight whose special item is a Koopa Shell.

Koopa Troopa is one of the fastest characters with little traction in Super Mario Kart. Super Circuit , green and red Koopa Troopas can be seen at the awards ceremony at the end of a Grand Prix.

A green Koopa reappears in Mario Kart:

Koopa Troopa is one of the fastest characters with little traction in Super Mario Kart. Super Circuit , green and red Koopa Troopas can be seen at the awards ceremony at the end of a Grand Prix.

A green Koopa reappears in Mario Kart: In the latter game, one can be seen walking around near the starting line of one of the courses. He is a Feather class racer, with acceleration and off-road being his best stats.

Koopa Troopa returns as a default playable character in Mario Kart 8. He is a lightweight character, although he is one of the heavier lightweights, meaning his speed and weight are slightly better than that of the lightest lightweights at the expense of acceleration, handling, and grip, making him more balanced.

Koopa , and Isabelle. Koopa Troopa also appears on some of the posters for the sponsor Galaxy Air. This time, he shares stats with Lakitu and Bowser Jr.

Koopa Troopas were originally going to appear in the live-action Super Mario Bros. This Koopa Troopa appears as the penultimate boss in the game, fighting in a giant robot made in the likeness of a Koopa.

It has a gun turret manned by four Koopa Troopas. Several Koopa Shells appear as enemies throughout the game, however these may not have actually contained Koopa Troopas, as none are seen.

In this game Koopa Troopas would open doors which Mario has to close. Koopa Troopa reappears in Mario Power Tennis as a playable character, where he is classified as speedy.

His Offensive Power Shot is the Water Bomb , where Koopa performs a special drop shot that forces the characters to get close to the net.

His other special move, the Defensive Power Shot named Water Shell Dash , consists of saving the loose ball by hiding into his shell and homing in to the ball to make the return.

Paratroopa is also present in this game. Mario, Luigi and Peach try to warn him, but he slips onto his back and slides across the stage, ricochets off a pole and hits Luigi in the head, making him drop the trophy.

Koopa Troopa then catches it. Koopa Troopa returns in Mario Tennis Aces as a speedy-type playable character. He also appears as an opponent in the mission Battle Boat in Adventure Mode.

Koopa Troopas also appear, albeit less frequently, in Super Mario World 2: In this game, only red and green shelled Koopa Troopas appear, and neither walk off the side of cliffs.

Hookbill the Koopa reappears in Tetris Attack as an enemy. They look similar to their appearance in the SNES predecessor, but with a much lighter outline and a slight increase in size.

Like in the previous game, if stomped on, the Koopa Troopas are kicked out of their shells. When Yoshi licks the strings, the Koopa Shell will come out and it can be used like a normal shell.

Throughout the series, they appear as background characters in boards and minigames. Koopa Troopas appear in the first Mario Party game to award the player with ten Coins each time the player passes the starting point in a similar style to the game Monopoly.

Four Koopa Troopas appear in the minigame Shell Game , were the player needs to find the Koopa Troopa who has the treasure chest with coins inside it.

In Bowl Over , the solo player uses a Koopa Shell in order to knock over the three other players. An item called No Koopa can be bought in the item shop in Mushroom Village for coins.
